Whole Child Strategies

Withers Collection Museum & Gallery

Dr. Withers’ last working studio on 333 Beale Street was named in his honor by the City of Memphis is 1995. In February 2011, The Withers Colleciton Museum and Gallery was opened to the public and houses 7,000 square feet of Memphis and broader American history.

Housing and Community Development

The Division of Housing & Community Development coordinates programs funded through federal and state grants to assist Memphis’s residents and neighborhoods.

The Time is Now Douglass

Concerned residents committed to restore, revitalize, and redevelop the Douglass, Bungalow, and Crump communities through charity and volunteerism to an economically viable, self-sustained community that results in people living in a self-sufficient, enriched, and rewarding community.

Memphis Jazz Workshop

Jazz represents one of the most important musical, historical, and cultural phenomena of the Memphis and Mid-South area. A true renaissance of Jazz culture can only come about from the youth in this city — aided by those of us who know and have lived the musical richness of this American art form.

Influencers Memphis

At its core, the Influencers is a ministry which guides individuals into an intimate relationship with Jesus Christ. This is accomplished in a small-group setting called a Journey Group. Participants meet for a 9-month period with a group of believers who share the same heart to go deeper in their relationship with Christ.

Soulsville USA Festival

The Soulsville USA Festival aims to capture the spirit of soul music within Memphis and the surrounding area. Local artists, bands, and organizations provided the majority of the featured talent. The festival had a variety of food trucks and other exhibitors selling baked goods, jewelry, apparel, self-care products, and other handcrafted items in addition to the music.

Memphis Blues Society

The Memphis Blues Society is an all volunteer non-profit arts organization.  Our mission is to preserve and promote by presenting Blues events to the community of Memphis and support Blues artists.

Raising The Bar CDC

Raising the B.A.R is a youth outreach program that is dedicated to saving our youth one neighborhood at a time. This youth outreach program is lead by Michael Mosby , The Primary mission of Raising the B.A.R Youth Development is to encourage youth to exhibit positive attitudes and behaviors while making positive choices for their lives.

Gibson Companies

JW has been known to say, “I am bullish on Memphis.” He envisioned a family of companies, which would collaborate and interact with local businesses in order to improve the fiscal, cultural and social fabric of the community. He formed Gibson Companies (GCI) with a focus on three areas: healthcare, housing and entertainment.
